Open at every step — not a black box
A job reaches you only after 3 steps, and every job tells you why in plain words.
Always free for job seekers · Recruiting is included in every HRConnext plan — The job-seeker side opens soon
3 steps before a job reaches you
- Must-pass conditions — Miss one and it never shows
- A fit score from 0 to 100 — From 6 weighted parts, shown from 55
- Reasons you can read — Every job says why it fits
Must-pass conditions
As you set them on each goal
- Within your distance — A branch of the post is within your distance of a province you chose (or your shared location), or it is remote and you accept remote
- The right kind of work — Permanent, contract, part-time, internship or freelance, as you chose
- Pay not too low — Monthly pay no more than 10% under your lowest pay; posts that hide pay can still show
- No shifts / weekends — If you said no, jobs with shift or weekend work don't show
- Not a company you blocked — Blocked companies (e.g. your employer) never show and can't see you
- Open and on the board — Only published posts that are still open and that the company shows on the jobs board
The fit score, 0 to 100
- Occupation 35% — Full marks for the same occupation, part for the same field, less for a related one — from 72 standard occupations in 27 fields
- Meaning of your goal and resume 25% — Compares the meaning of your job title, skills and resume text with the post
- Pay 15% — The post's pay range against your lowest pay; posts that hide pay get half
- Distance 10% — Closer scores more; remote jobs score full
- Experience level 10% — The post's level (internship, entry, experienced, lead, manager) against the experience you chose
- Skills 5% — Skills the post lists that are on your goal
Age, gender, religion and marital status are never used for matching — they aren't even stored
Reasons, and the order of jobs
- Reasons on every job — e.g. "Same occupation", "Pay 15,000–20,000 fits", "About 5 km away"
- Missing must-haves — If a post requires education, a driving licence or a right to work you don't have, it's hidden by default; turn them on in your profile to see what's missing
- Fit and freshness — Ordered by score times freshness (halving every 14 days); your main goal counts a little more
- Variety — No more than 2 jobs in a row from one company, and every 10th job is a 40–54 score to try something new
- No repeats — Jobs you applied to or saved leave the feed; skipped jobs stay away for 30 days
- Always up to date — Recalculated when you change a goal, when a company publishes or edits a post, every 15 minutes while you browse, and every night
Questions about matching
Is age or gender used to pick jobs?
No. Age, gender, religion, marital status, health and criminal records are never asked for or stored, so they can't be used. Resumes are read only to help matching — never to score or screen you out.
Why don't some jobs show?
The job may fail a goal's conditions (too far, wrong kind of work, pay more than 10% under your minimum, shifts or weekends you don't take), score under 55, require something you don't have, or you already applied to, saved or skipped it.
Do skipped jobs come back?
Skipped jobs stay away for 30 days. Saved jobs are under "My jobs › Saved", and jobs you applied to don't come back to the feed.
